The author has sculpted in these last fifty years everything that has come out of his hands. Drawing has been the way to flatten and organize his cumbersome "arsenal". That's why he switched to computer graphics in spite of it's dark side; working with 3D remind us of "Morel's Invention" a famous novel by A Bioy Casares; Borges's friend and collaborator... In 1970-1973 Humanities at Vincennes University, Studies Architecture in the former "Pavillon Baltard" which preceded the " Trou des Halles ". Early encounters and influences: friends as C. Bouillé; surrealist group (Ranelagh 1967), highly attracted by "les peintres a l'ancienne" from J. Bosh to Delacroix. Other influences: "Tel Quel" group, R.Barthes, C. Levy Strauss, J. Kristeva, J.L. Sheffer "scenographie d'un tableau " (1967-1972 ). Travels: Hiking in Great Britain and Eire (Clifden) 1967, Nothern Sahara, a year stay in the Caribbean French Antilles and Guyana in 1973, voyage to the mists of time : Afghanistan, India and Nepal. Return to Europe and beginning of voyage to the inner self. First Comics published in 1980. A very inefficient way of earning a living but a way, one can hope, of assembling stories and Writing. Obsession is the antagonistic force that impulses the desire to open the scene in "l'origine du monde" ( by Courbet ). It's force opposite to that of Writing, an overpresence due to fascination. His work: Alice (1983), Gommorrhe (1982 - 1983), Alice Collection (1984 - 1985), Nagarya (1987), Thamara & Juda (1989), Judith et Holopherne (1993), Nagarya (Lost Continent) (1997), Evy-en-Ruines 1 (3D & BD) (2006). Worked on Silicon Graphics at ExMachina (T.D.I. labs ); European temple of computer graphic pictures, place of birth of "Explore" the software which later generated "Maya" along with Alias & Wavefront. Also worked in several projects like: "PolaX" by L. Carax, Reference images for "Final Fantasy" and "Man's adventure" by Yves Coppens. "Evy in Ruins" ( film and comic book).

Paolo Eleuteri Serpieri

Paolo Eleuteri Serpieri (born February 29, 1944 in Venice, Italy) is an Italian comic book writer and illustrator, noted for his works of highly detailed renderings of the human form, particularly erotic images of women. He is best known for his work on the Druuna erotic science fiction series. He began studying at the Fine Art Academy in Rome and became a pupil of Renato Guttuso. Serpieri took courses in painting and architecture. In 1966, he pursued a career in painting, achieving much acclaim from the critics. In 1975, he finally discovered comics. Together with writer Raffaele Ambrosio, he created a series of stories about the history of the West, published in the magazines Lancio Story and Skorpio. Some memorable titles are 'L'Indiana Bianca' and 'L'Uomo di Medicina'. From 1980 on Paolo Serpieri worked on collections like 'L'Histoire du Far-West' and 'Découvrir la Bible', as well as short stories for magazines such as L'Eternauta, Il Fumetto and Orient-Express. In 1985, he created the saga of 'Druuna', of which many titles appeared through the 1990s: 'Morbus Gravis', 'Creatura', 'Carnivora', 'Mandragora', 'Aphrodisia', 'Obsession', 'Druuna X' and 'Croquis'. These erotic/galactic epics became a great success, selling more than a million issues in twelve languages. Serpieri's depiction of the well-endowed heroine has earned him the undisputed title of the "Master of the Ass".
